An Overview of Legislative Changes for Associations in the District of Columbia.

2014 has been a landmark legislative year in the District of Columbia.  In March, the DC Council approved the Condominium Amendment Act of 2013, which was primarily drafted by members of the District of Columbia's Legislative Action Committee.  It is expected that the Act will become effective sometime in early June 2014, depending on the legislative calendar of Congress.
